Leo J. Govoni
President
Leo J. Govoni has more than 30 years of experience in various capacities within the financial services industry. He is the President and founder of Boston Asset Management, Inc., a Registered Investment Advisor. Boston Asset Management is recognized as an industry leader for providing investment advisory services to companies and individuals serving in a fiduciary relationship, whether as trustee, guardian, attorney, or in another fiduciary capacity. Mr. Govoni is also one of the founders of The Centers, a Florida-based organization of related businesses that provide a wide range of professional services specifically designed to meet the needs of attorneys and their clients. These services include Medicare and Medicaid lien resolution, Medicare Set-Aside allocation and administration, special needs trust administration, structured settlement consulting and law firm financing. Regarded as a prominent member of the legal and special needs communities, Mr. Govoni serves in various leadership positions with local legal, education and charitable organizations. Mr. Govoni previously served on the Florida Bar Grievance Committee and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Bar Foundation and the Hillsborough County Bar Foundation. Additionally, Mr. Govoni has served as a member of the Stetson University Board of Trustees and now serves on the Stetson University College of Law Board of Overseer’s Committee as well as their Executive Committee. Mr. Govoni serves locally on the Board of Directors of the Vincent Lecavalier Foundation and has served as a board member and advisor to several national non-profit organizations.
Jonathan Golden
Vice President and Special Counsel
Jonathan Golden has over 30 years of significant and diverse legal and business experience in corporate, securities and real estate law, including advisory roles with major corporations and start-up businesses. Mr. Golden also has extensive operational business and executive management experience overseeing all operations of a high-volume retail business. Mr. Golden began his legal career in 1984 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Division of Enforcement, in its Los Angeles Regional Office. From there, Mr. Golden entered private practice focusing on mergers and acquisitions, emerging growth business development and debt and equity offerings involving the entertainment, franchise, oil and gas and technology industries. In 1993, Mr. Golden left the practice of law to join as a principal of a small chain of high-volume, deep discount housewares stores in New Jersey. This business closed in 2006 and the following year he joined Boston Asset Management as its General Counsel a registered investment advisory firm.
In 2013, Mr. Golden was appointed General Counsel of the private equity firm Boston Holding Company, with interests from manufacturing, finance, forestry and craft beverages. One of these interests is Big Storm Brewing Company, a quickly growing craft brewery located in the Tampa Bay area. In 2016, Mr. Golden was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Big Storm Brewery to oversee expansion and development strategies as well as operational consistency. In April 2017, Mr. Golden returned to Boston Finance Group as Vice President and Special Counsel.
Mr. Golden’s broad base of business and legal experience provides him with unique abilities of risk assessment, strategic financial planning and budgeting, competitive analysis, regulatory compliance and sales and marketing strategies all under an aegis of legal perspective.
Mr. Golden is admitted to the practice of law in Florida and California. He has a B.A. from Colgate University and a J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law.
